Joondalup Based Baby and Maternity Photography
Celebrate your growing family with warm, creative images from KS Photography in Perth. As an experienced photographer and a mother myself, I am well placed to capture warm and caring portraits of you, your baby, and your family. At my Iluka, Joondalup studio in Perth’s northern suburbs, I’ll work closely with you to create beautiful images that reflect your unique family story. I have built up a loyal client base over the years who I have been honoured to photograph as their families have blossomed.
Unique maternity photography that will make you feel beautiful
Maternity is such an exciting time in your life and it makes sense to mark this momentous occasion with special images you can continue to reflect upon and enjoy well after your baby is born. The photo shoot can take place at my Iluka, Joondalup studio or at one of Perth’s many scenic natural locations, and I will work with you to ensure you feel relaxed, beautiful, and completely at ease throughout the session.
Prior to the shoot we will discuss your dress preferences. I can provide you with a choice of different maternity gowns or you can bring your own. What you wear on the day will reflect your own style and personality, and I would be honoured to work with you to capture it on camera.
Beautiful newborn photography that captures those precious first few days of your baby’s life
The window of time for newborn photography is a small one, as within two weeks of your baby’s birth they undergo their first big growth spurt and are no longer that tiny, helpless little creature that they arrived in the world as. I specialise in photographing babies at this adorable, early stage of their lives where they still spend most of their time sleeping in the same curled up positions they held in the womb. Over a period of a couple of hours, I will settle, pose, and photograph your newborn baby whilst you sit back, relax, and reflect on the profound experience of becoming a new parent.
Training, Health & Safety
My tiny newborn clients’ health & safety is my utmost priority during any photo session. Training with leading newborn photographers has taught me vital safety precautions every newborn photographer should know about and follow. Certain poses are outright dangerous, if newborns are not being supported all the time. Please be assured that I am very aware of this fact and during the shoot I may ask mum or dad to assist me in supporting baby’s head and keeping a watching eye on baby while I take the shot.
I am pleased to let you know that due to my special job as a newborn photographer, my GP agreed to give me a my booster against Whooping Cough (please see blog here) despite the fact that this vaccination is in short supply at present. Since I don’t have kids at school anymore, I don’t usually get sick. However, in the event that I was to feel unwell the day before a scheduled shoot, I would always inform my clients and re-schedule the appointment. I believe that your newborn child should not be exposed to any illnesses in the early days.
I enjoy staying up-to-date with issues of pregnancy & child birth. There are some great local and international websites that I regularly visit. Here are two examples: The Bump WA and The BabyCentre .
